The standard Technical Risk Analysis for Software-based Functionalities (TRS) yellow volume was realeased at the end of 2025 and has entered the public feedback phase.

This volume addresses the need for a more targeted, more efficient and more context-appropriate approach to the analysis of software risks. The goal is to reduce complexity and offer practical guidance.  This publication is intended to supplement industry standards and is not a replacement for them.  It refers to standards such as the AlAG & VDA FMEA Handbook, VDA Maturity Level Assurance, ISO26262(Functional Safety), ISO/SAE 21434(Cybersecurity), and Automotive SPICE^®.

The public feedback period closes on January 21, 2026 — only one week remaining. Professionals in relevant fields are invited to contribute their insights and recommendations. Your expertise and suggestions will help define the future direction of industry standards.
